What is SUVEC?

SUVEC stands for SUV Expedition Club. We are an off-roading enthusiasts club geared towards drivers of SUVs who have a keen passion for the sport as well as the outdoors.

What is the aim of the Club? 

SUVEC’s mission is to enhance fellowship and off-road passion among its members. The club achieves this by organizing trips and events, both on-road and off-road (soft), to mother nature. SUVEC does organize a yearly expedition cum off-road event which from past statistics have an average turn-out of 60 cars (~150 participants).

How did this Club come into being?

SUVEC is a non-profit registered society formed in 2006 by a bunch of adventure-seeking, nature-loving and off-roading enthusiasts. Since then, the club has gown to over 800 registered forum members to date.

Can I be part of this group?

Sure! We welcome all with open arms especially if you are an SUV owner who doesn’t mind getting your ride dirty, sandy, muddy. More importantly, a willingness to meet other people as well have a love for the outdoors.

What sort of activities does the Club have?

There is the high-profile annual expedition cum off-road event, regular outings that we endearingly call “Suvec Mud Session” or SMS for short, charity work, annual SUVEC beach clean-up and not forgetting "illegal" coffee sessions amongst Members – just to name afew. Do I have to pay a fee?

Currently No. However in time to come we will be launching a membership package that boasts heaps of perks and privileges just be being a SUVEC member so do look out for it!

No fees for now? How does the Club sustain itself?

Currently in the present situation, the main cost is the maintenance and hosting of the SUVEC web site. In view of this, SUVEC offsets the costs by the sales of Club Merchandise and member ID car decals, which are well supported by our fantastic Members. Any extra funds will be used into activities planned for SUVEC members.

Who manages SUVEC?

A committee comprising SUVEC members currently manages and lovingly maintains the club and its activities. These moderators who share a common goal – to grow SUVEC to its fullest potential, are driven by passion first and does not receive any remuneration of any kind. Currently SUVEC has 3 main departments that form the committee namely: Marketing Communications; Events & last but not least Merchandise.

Thought you’ll never ask! Simply register at the home page of the forum section. When choosing a nick for yourself, do bear in mind the chosen nick will also be your ID in SUVEC – very much like an alias. So choose wisely!
